Meghalaya, meaning "abode of clouds," is one of India's most scenic states. The state is famous for its extraordinary living root bridges built by the Khasi tribe, the wettest place on Earth (Mawsynram), the crystal-clear Dawki River, and spectacular waterfalls including Nohkalikai and Seven Sisters Falls.
